House History
The House of lungqIj is an old house. It has been around for hundreds of years. It was founded in the time before the rise of qeylIS and is named after the lungqIj, a dark-skinned legless lizard-like creature that is native to the ghevchoq region of Qo’noS.
Little is known about the House’s original founder, as many records from the time have long since been destroyed. House legends tell that he was given the name lungqIj, after the animal, due to his propensity to strike from the shadows without warning.
In nearly every other generation of the House since, the oldest son has been named lungqIj, thus the name of the house has not been changed. It owns a large family building and lands on Qo’noS, outside the city of ruq’e’vet in the ghevchoq region of the planet.
They have lived there for most of the House’s existence, settling there soon after the birth of qonneq, first son of lungqIj I. Over the years it has been improved and built upon and the building has grown significantly.
It has a large stable of Sargh, a Klingon horse-like creature. lungqIj tuq Sargh have been bred to run faster than wild ngem Sargh. This led to a shortening of their horns as the reduction in weight gave them a significant speed boost.

House Symbols
The House of lungqIj has had a number of symbols over the centuries, with most based on the . Before the time of qeylIS, when the house was first founded by the original lungqIj himself, he would wear the silver outline of a black snake curved around a dagger on his clothes. After qeylIS united the Klingon people and introduced the Trefoil as the symbol that represents the Klingon Empire the House of lungqIj replaced the dagger in their banners with the Trefoil, to show that they wanted the House to be a part of the Empire.
The symbol shown above was the first of these replacements and was used for approximately 17 years until De’noq, the then mate of lungqIj II, died and it was redesigned.
The second symbol is the current House logo. It was updated by qurgh, the current lord of the House, with help from his good friend, and well known Imperial Artist, Khan of House Klag.
